Will send you my cousin Megan's poem on illegals and mine "if wishes were Horse, the beggars could fly". I have emerged from fair and an ocean of dollar bills and people. Please forgive my silence. Then, 48 hours after you finish, you hate it. Then comes the clerical part, when you admit to yourself it's finished, good as you can get it. You've done it before, you can do it again. Soon as it's out, I'll buy it. I like your poetry - and I am a good judge :)

Re politics: I watched the Repub debates. If you looked on it as a parody of American Republican politics, it was great fun.

Re god: All depends on the definition. Something grander than me, bigger and more powerful than me, sure. The four forces of the universe are good contenders: Gravity, Electomagnatism, strong nuclear and weak nuclear. They interact, they form what's out there, etc. A god that's interested or resembles me: more skeptical. That's just human hubris. Now if I were god, my favourite creation would probably be sequoias. Or maybe dogs. After all, god is dog spelled backwards and that must signify something.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00856562679520010103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20844150.post-61596194960765832602015-08-13T14:02:33.299-07:002015-08-13T14:02:33.299-07:00I'm at the worst part of novel writing--the la...I'm at the worst part of novel writing--the last third. It's when everything has to start coming together and making sense. I always know how the story is supposed to end, but the segue from the stride to and through the quickstep causes me serious anxiety--even knowing it's only a 1st draft. I don't like even to have to think about hunting an agent or a publisher. It requires an entirely different mindset--one that I truly hate. My very best wishes for you with your second book, Nonnie. (I wish you would post more poems on Fictionaut.)

Oh, and politics--I just donated to Bernie's campaign. First donation I've made to a politician in recent memory.

Mathew Pausthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06157135006791553019noreply@blogger.com
